...and we're back!

Sooo...I know what you're all wondering. Did I sell my washer and dryer? Yes I did! A very nice man named John bought them off me. I apologize for not writing for so long. I just suddenly had a renewed desire to write when I happened to pop in and see this comment from a few days ago.

"Hi Kristy,

My name is Kimli, and I live in North Vancouver. I found one of your Moo Cards in the parking lot of the Raven pub in Deep Cove, and decided to check out your website and pictures. I'm glad I did! Your work is beautiful! Just thought you'd like to know that while you or someone else may have dropped one of your cards in a random place, it was found and made you a new fan. :)"

The only person I know who lives in North Van is my crazy friend Dave Morris and he still has his moo card because we just had a discussion about it last night. I have no idea how my moo card ended up in North Van but I am delighted that Kimli took the time to actually come to my blog and check out my photos. I really need to get some new ones made up for Bettie Boudoir anyway and apparently it pays to just sprinkle them in random locations. (And I of course mean pay in a non-monetary ego-boosting sense.) I really needed some kind of a compliment tonight. Seriously, I'm sitting here listening to Johnny Cash's cover of Desperado. It's that bad.

I just got back from Vancouver. I was featuring at the Vancouver poetry slam at Cafe Deux Soleil with the Vic slam team and it was a lot of fun. C.R. Avery was even the sacrificial poet in the slam which was a delightful surprise and Dave took first place in the first slam he ever competed in. I wasn't surprised because he freaking rocks but it was very exciting. Missie and I stayed at Dave's place in North Van and we all went for breakfast in the morning. It was lovely. I then had a delightful ferry ride with Missie, Becky (Missie's sister) and Dave. We had kalamata olives, pita and hummous, blueberries and white wine. It was a very ritzy ferry ride. There are photos to come but I didn't have my camera I was using Becky's point and shoot.

Well, it's been so long since I've written I don't know what all has happened but all is well. Davis and I are out in our condo in Langford which we are settling in to nicely and getting ready to some renovations. This coming weekend is Davis's birthday and we are going camping to Port Renfrew with friends which should be a lot of fun. I will keep everyone updated better from now on. Thanks for reading!
