Oh Katy Perry....first you were kissing girls and now you're insulting them.  

"Hot N Cold" is the tragic story of a young girl in love with someone who dwells in the land of  paradoxia.  (For example...hot and cold--what?! That is crazy.) This person is actually described as being every example of opposites that Katy could think of.  (She probably did very well in Kindergarten.) What really gets me though is the beautiful similes in this song as well.  "You PMS like a bitch. I would know." is just such a lovely figurative image because I can actually imagine someone PMS'ing like a bitch.  It really paints a picture. In looking up lyrics for this song I was treated to a wonderful example of Misheard Lyric Syndrome (MLS for short but not to be confused with real estate listings) with this line interpreted as "you pee a mess like a girl. I would know."  I think I like that better.  At any rate, for those of you who haven't had the pleasure of listening to this tune here are the lyrics.

I can only dream of someday being up to this calibre of song-writing.  I'll keep reaching for that rainbow.  Alright, I have to go change my clothes now.  Yeah I,  change my clothes...like a girl...changes clothes...
